Halloween

Here is my weak attempt trying to make up what has happened in the last 3 or so months. I will start of first with Halloween and post a new entry everyday until I caught up. (hopefully) So lets start with Halloween which is always a blast for us for many reason's.

1. Iris B-day is 2 days before (tomorrow's post)

2. The Pfau's all come into town for Disneyland

3. It's Matt's favorite holiday and the kids LOVE it too.

4. It is the first holiday in the holiday season and that is a reason to celebrate all on its own.

This year was even better than to be expected since my parents were able to come out as well. My parents visiting is always so nice. The kids LOVE LOVE LOVE them and having them here is like a vacation for me since the kids are with them most of the time. I think they leave here absolutely exhausted every time but hopefully they had as much fun as we did. Here are some pictures of the happy festivities.

My little flower and bumble bee. So adorable. My mom made little May's flower costume and I made Iris' tutu. I loved that Amarea ctually loved being in her costume, everytime we put it on her she just smiled and smiled. Such a sweet girl. And Iris was overjoyed to be a bumble bee, even though I chose her costume. Man I love this age.

And my Koben in his sumo wrestler costume. Matt and I loved this costume we would make him put it on just for a good laugh.
and here is all 3 of my trick or treaters.

let us not forget Matt who was a cow this year,

my mom with the girls.

Matt's New Website

If you still don't have a will or trust and need to get one done but done want to pay a lot of money you need to go to Matt's new website. We are really excited about the new website and I am so glad it is finally up and running. He has spent a lot of time working to get it all perfect and even wrote a small book. I am so proud of all the work he has done. So head over and check it out http://www.willtrustlawoffices.com/ You can download the book for free and you can order your will or trust off his website for WAY less than you would have to pay meeting with him or another attorney in person. We are so proud of all that you have done honey, Great Job!

Random Update

Well I have been a horrible blogger lately but here is a little of what we have been up to....

Amara is getting too big too fast. I love little babies and its so sad to see her getting big. She is still a super fun sweet baby. She LOVES her mom and dad. If she sees her dad across the room even if he isn't looking at her she just sits and smiles. So adorable.

We always go to Disneyland for Halloween. We love all the decorations and it is finally cooler and a lot less people. We always take pictures at the same spots here are the kids this year.

There weren't any kids around so Woody sat down to color with the kids. Very cute.

Iris at the end of the night.

We got a visit from my BFF Tiffany and her family. It was sooo good to see her. It has been way too long. Tiff and I have been friends since high school and she is one of those people that I love to be around. Seeing her just makes me miss her more. It also makes me miss Vegas just a little bit. I wish I were closer so I could see her more.

August update

Along with all of the things that have been going undone at my house blogging has been one of them. So here is my attempt to catch up on some of the highlights of the pasat month or so.

Amara is 2 1/2 months and has turned into my smiley, happy, CHUNKY baby. Yes it has finally happened I have a baby with rolly thighs and squishy cheeks. Man I am in heaven. I could squeeze and kiss this girl all day long.

ris is just as sweet and funny as ever. She threw away all of her binkies in exchange for pink legos. Two nights without the binky and not one tear. Next month potty training?!?

Koben has been playing basketball all summer and has now started soccer. They overlap for a month and i am more than excited for basketball to be over. 1 more week. He also got glassses for the first time. Matt has terrible vision so we were waiting to see which of our kids have his eyes. I thought Koben was safe since has my dark brown eyes but I was wrong. Koben on the other hand is THRILLED to have glasses the whole way to the eye exam he kept telling me how much he hope to get glasses. Funny boy. He also lost his 2 front teeth. While on vacation with the Pfaus Koben bartered off letting someone pull his tooth out. Grandma Pfau won for $30. I pulled the other one out in the middle of soccer practice so he would stop playing with it. He looks so different now with two missing teeth and glasses.

Matt's little brother got married last week and since the wedding was in Salt Lake we decided to make a little vacation out of it and went to my sisters for the week before. The kids had soooooooo much fun and played so well together. It was so nice and we were all sad to leave. Now we are counting down the days until Thanksgiving when we will see them again but here are some pics from our fun trip.

They went fishing. And since they went fishing at the fish farm......

They caught 2!!

Wade got out the enormous jump house and the all played in this nonstop.

Wade also took the kids for rides in hs tractor.

We got ice cream at the local dairy. This picture makes me laugh-Ryan picking up Koben to see th flavors. He is such a sweet cousin!!

And they all loved on baby Amara.

And last but not least Patrick and his beautiful bride Jordan.

Cucumber Salad Recipe

I have had A LOT of tomatoes from my garden. There is nothing better than fresh tomatoes. Here is one of my favorite summer salad recipes that has tomatoes in it so I thought I would share.

2 med. cucumbers

1 tomato

1/4 c. red onion

1/3 c. veg. oil

3 T. sugar

3 T. red wine vinegar

3/4 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

Cut the cucumber and tomato in half; remove the seeds. Chop the cucumber, tomato and onion; toss together in a bowl. Whisk together the oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper until the sugar dissolves. Toss the dressing in with veggies. Cover and chill for 3 hours.

Catch up

Sorry for the long post but this is all the stuff that I have failed to blog about lately.

Amara was blessed on June 28th. Matt gave her a beautiful blessing and as I sat there listening to her blessing I was again reminded how incredibly blessed I am to have this sweet angel in my life. I can't ever say that enough.

We are NOT a photogenic family but here we are!

We were lucky to have so much of our family at the blessing. Being in California with no family in town we never expect our family to come to our events because we know its not easy but we are always so thrilled when they are able to. Here is everyone that was able to come.

4th of July
This was by far my favorite 4th of July yet. We LOVE LOVE watching the fireworks over the ocean. In the past we have had to go to the beach super early to get a parking spot and spend to whole day there. Then by the time the fireworks start we are sunburned, dirty, and hungry. But this year Matt's friend who live a block from Laguna Beach let us park in his driveway. So we went down to Laguna at 7 walked around the shops. That is where we found the movie theatre and since I LOVE movie theatre popcorn I thought it would be the perfect firework show snack! (Deanna I know you are jelous!)Then the kids got some candy at this cute candy shop and we found a nice grassy spot about 20 feet from the water and right next to a sand box.( I think it is so funny when beaches have sand boxes right next to each other- but Iris loved it!) Then we settled in and watched a beautiful show of fireworks over the ocean while I ate my popcorn. Heaven!

This is long over due but before I had Amara I chopped all of my hair off. It was pretty long so here are the before and after shots.

I liked my long hair it was fun and it hasn't been this long since Matt and I got married but, I am loving my short, easy, sassy hair!

This the grown out version of my haircut since it was actually 7 weeks from the time it was cut to this picture.Lame I know.
